Alan Ruthven

1950 Brownlow Medalist

Allan Ruthven captained Fitzroy for 103 games in 1948, part of 1950 and 1951 to 1954. He led by the example of his skillful play. He was also coach between 1952 and 1954. Fitzroy made the finals in 1952 and he won the Brownlow Medal in 1950.
