Club XVIII valiant in Grand Final loss

The Club XVIII played a hard game in blustery conditions at Elsternwick Park to go down by 8 points against Old Essendon.
The final score was Fitzroy 6-6-42 to Old Essendon 7-8-50. In the last quarter Old Essendon were kicking with the breeze and Fitzroy put on a strong fight to restrict Old Essendon from running away with the game.
Unfortunately time was against the boys.
Best players for Fitzroy were T. Jenkins, R. Enright, M. Negebauer, A. Hanna, J. Pitts and T. Poole.
Goal Kickers were T. Wilson 2, N. Brown, T. Poole , J. Card and J. Pitts all kicking 1 each.
Stephen Graham was also named the VAFA Club XVIII North Best and Fairest winner with the medal presented after the match at the game.
