New Reserves coach appointed
The Club is very proud to announce that Sam Buckley was the successful applicant for the Reserves Coaching position.
Sam is a very passionate Fitzroy person who started his football career with the very first Fitzroy Junior Football Club team in 1993. Sam kicked the only goal that the 1993 U.10s scored in that first season of what has grown to be one of the strongest junior football clubs in Victoria.
Sam moved through to the Colts and then onto the Fitzroy Reds u.19s, Clubbies, Reserves and Seniors. A knee injury suffered in the Ressies finals last year has kept him out of the playing team this year, but being the RoyBoy that he is , he has put his hand up to take on the Ressies coaching role under the watchful guidance of Senior Coach Simon Taylor .
The Club has every confidence that Sam will do a first class job.
