Reds Ball is a great success

8.30 pm Wednesday 30th June 2010

redsballflyerThey came from far and wide for the 2010 Fitzroy Football Club Reds Ball; Fairies, French maids, forks, Ferrero Rochers, fridges, firemen, race car drivers and two brave Roman soldiers.

The 'F and R' theme brought colour and life to a great night on the banks of the Yarra at the Melbourne Rowing Club.

In the best dressed awards, Alex Grant took the honours in the men's section as a flasher. It was an easy role to play for the disturbed Clubbies legend and he would have been stiff to lose.

Hannah Ware was the 'Belle of the Ball' for the ladies in a fabulously red burlesque dancer's ensemble.

Club stalwart Anthony Walsh won top prize in the raffle and can look forward to jumping out of a plane from 16,000 feet as a result. Good luck with that Walshy, hopefully we don't need a new runner in 2011!

Thanks to all who attended and helped make it a great night. Much needed funds were raised for the club and we thank everyone for their support. Let's make sure we're all back to do it again next year.
