Thanks Kath

fitzroysupportersThe Club would like to pay tribute to the memory of the late Mrs Kathleen Fairhall who has left us a marvellous bequest of $10,000 in her Will. Kath and her late husband Vernon are well remembered as dedicated Club members for many years.

That bequest has now been paid by her Executors, the State Trustees, and we are ever so grateful  to her for her bequest as it could not have come at a more useful time. A new season is coming, and over 170 young men from Fitzroy and neighbouring  districts will enjoy the benefits of her wonderful gift to her old Club, as it enters her 126th Season of competition in Victorian football. 1884 to 1896 in the VFA, (Premiers 1895), 1897 to 1989 VFL, (Premiers 1898, 1899, 1904, 1905, 1913, 1916, 1922, 1944), AFL 1990 to 1996, and now in conjunction with the Fitzroy Reds in the VAFA from Season 2009.

Members and Benefactors are encouraged to remember the Fitzroy Football Club Ltd in your Will for a bequest, no matter how small. As the Club moves on in its own right, back where it all started 126 years ago, you can be rest assured that that your bequest will ensure that the Fitzroy flag will proudly fly from the Fitzroy Football Club Grandstand at the famous Brunswick Street Ground for evermore. If you would like to help the Club in this way, please feel free to ring the Club Secretary - Finance and Administration, on 9580 6464.
