"Fitzroy Football Club has produced its 118th annual report, which will be presented to the members at the Brunswick Oval on March 25. It's as though history has stood still for the die-hard local Lions, who have survived the so-called merger with Brisbane and continue to keep the flame alight. - with lawyer Dyson Hore-Lacy into his 12th year as President. Under the terms of the shotgun marriage document with Brisbane, the Lions must play a minimum of six games per year in Melbourne, and this year will appear seven times. The remnants of Fitzroy say they'll be around to ensure the reigning premiers stick to the number." |
