Fitzroy Diehards "rememberence day"...

Scot Palmer, Punchlines, Sunday Herald Sun, Sunday 16th April 2006

"FITZROY diehards will be holding "remembrance day" on June 28,the anniversary of the worst moment in the Club's history. It was the occasion when AFL officials and then an administrator walked into the Lions' HQ at the Fitzroy Club Hotel and took them over. Fitzroy still exists under the presidency of stalwart Dyson Hore-Lacy (it will post a net profit of $3,358 at its 121st annual meeting), running the successful Fitzroy Reds in the amateurs and keeping the home fires burning at the old Brunswick St.Oval."
