"Fitzroy Reds will be on the mighty MCG in a match against West Brunswick on Saturday August 9th. The Match, which required VAFA Executive approval, for an alteration in the fixture, will be part of the AFL Foundation Days theme and will be played before the Brisbane Lions and Collingwood match."
