Looking for a more physical brand of football

14-Apr-2016

Old Haileybury will travel to Brunswick Street Oval on Saturday buoyed by a first round win against Old Brighton in their first game up in Premier B.

They will meet a Fitzroy team keen to atone for a very poor start to the season against St Bedes/Mentone last week. If you missed it, the results are here.

Co-coach Nick Mitchell said the focus this week would be playing a more physical brand of football, with more emphasis on winning the contested ball. If we get the balance right we should be able to use our slick ball movement on the outside,Nick said.

The home team will enjoy being back on BSO and will welcome back a number of senior players. However, they will be without co-captain Rory Angiolella, who suffered a calf injury during the first quarter of last weeks game.

Come on down and support the boys in their first home game for 2016; Kerrys BBQ will be running hot.

The post-match activities will continue at The Royal Derby.
