| "The inaugural Hughson Cup has been put on hold until next season. The cup will be awarded to the winner of a practice game between South Warnambool and Fitzroy. The trophy to honour Fred Hughson who captain-coached Fitzroy and then coached South Warnambool was to have been up for grabs on Saturday. But the game was cancelled because of ground conditions at Lilydale. |
