Every Fitzroy and now Brisbane Bears and Lions player (whether they played in the First, Seconds or Thirds), any official, trainer, medico or committeeman who officiated in any game or assisted in any capacity, automatically qualified as a member of our Association the minute they stopped playing or officiating.

We welcome all comers, who at some stage of their lives were part of the Fitzroy Football Club (Brisbane Bears or the Brisbane Lions). What we want is active members, members that are interested in keeping in contact with players from their own playing period.

Help us to keep out association alive. Like any club or association, we rely heavily on membership, and the return of annual subscriptions to assist us to meet our yearly operating costs.

You can be assured that active members of the Association derive much enjoyment from regular contact and the opportunity is there for all to join in.

Believe it or not, ours is the largest Past Players Association in the AFL today. We are proud of our large membership but want to see it increase.

We need your assistance to find ex-players and officials who would enjoy meeting up with friends of the same playing period. Our objective is to encourage them to join us at one of our social functions, where we know they will enjoy renewing old acquaintances.

So if you know the whereabouts of ex-players or officials, then let Ivan Smith know so we can make contact with them, and let's see if we can get them along and hopefully encourage them to become an active participant.
