Pre season resumed post Christmas on Monday 23 January on the historic and leafy Corbin Oval for the Women’s squad, while the Men hit the track at some folk’s former centre of the universe, Victoria Park Collingwood. 

There were around 120 in attendance all up, with the Men attracting over 20 new potential recruits and the Women eight. The new talent has come from all parts of Melbourne, regional Victoria, interstate, and one or two beauties from Ireland. Coupled with a refreshed coaching staff, I am reminded of a quote from The Castle, “It’s the vibe”.

The sessions continue for the both Men and Women at Olney Oval in Fairfield on Wednesday 25 January. Then from next Monday, pre season normality returns with the Men back on Vic Park, and the Women at Corbin.
