Congratulations to our recently inducted Honorary Life Members who were awarded Life Membership at the 138th AGM of the Fitzroy Football Club incorporating the Fitzroy Reds on Sunday.

Tim Denatris

Tim joined the club in 2013, having played a couple of seasons with Ormon and has played every season, firstly with the Club XVIII and then the Thirds.

Tim played in Thirds finals in 2014 and 2017 and then in the Thirds Div 1 preliminary finals in 2018, 2019 and this year. Tim has played 131 VAFA games and 100 of those have been with Fitzroy. He is a member of the Thirds leadership group and has been Thirds captain.

Chris Doherty

Chris joined the club in 2010 coming from the Fitzroy Junior Club. In his first year with the club he played in the U19 North 1 premiership team. He has been a regular in the men’s Reserves and Seniors

Chris took a few seasons off over the years returning in 2020, attending training when we were allowed to in the season that wasn’t. Chis has played 99 VAFA games, all with Fitzroy.

Matthew Gloster

Matt joined the club in 2010 and played in the U19 North 1 premiership that year.

Matt has also had a few seasons off from football here and there, assisting with the senior men’s statistics at one stage. Matt has been a regular in the Men’s Thirds and Reserves, playing in the 2014 Thirds semi final and the Thirds Division 1 preliminary final this year.

Matt is a member of the Thirds leadership team and has played 93 VAFA games, 90 of those with Fitzroy.

Nathan Jumeau

Nathan joined the club in 2009, playing the U19s, Reserves and Seniors over the years. Nathan had a few seasons away from the club playing in the Eastern Football Netball League and returned to Fitzroy in 2017.

Nathan has played 109 VAFA games, all with Fitzroy and these games include:

2010 U19 North 1 Premiership

2012 Premier C Reserves Premiership

2018 Premier C Senior Premiership

2019 VAFA representative game against WA.

In 2020, after hanging up the boots, Nathan joined our Women’s Senior Coaching group, and has been appointed the Senior Women’s Coach for 2023.

Matthew Kyroussis

Matt joined the club in 2012, having played at Collegians, and played in the Premier C Senior Grand Final.

Matt had 2020 off due to the pandemic, returning n 2021. Matt is a member of the Premier C Senior 2018 premiership side and played in the semi final this year against Old Haileybury. Matt has played 180 VAFA games, 138 of those with Fitzroy.
