Roy Girl and cancer nurse, Matilda Hemming, will undertake a 100km solo hike over the Great Dividing Range to raise money and awareness for the Womens Cancer Foundation.

Matilda is motivated to change the current odds for women diagnosed with ovarian cancer two of every three women diagnosed will not survive.

The funds raised will go towards research into ovarian cancer.

Motivated by the women she cares for every day and their families, this is cause Matilda is passionate about.

The Fitzroy-ACU player will take on her hiking challenge over four days from 16 November, from Mt Buninyong to Hepburn, and is hoping the Fitzroy community will get behind her and make a donation.

Shes already on target to raise over $1500. Fantastic effort Matilda!
