2020 Fitzroy Leadership Groups Announced 

We're excited to announce our Senior Leadership Groups for 2020.

Fitzroy-ACU Senior Women's Leadership Group:

Captain: Jess Hayes
Vice Captains: Lucy Kerr and Gemma Minuz 
Leadership Group: Shannon Alexander, Hilary Collett and Luci Murphy

Fitzroy Senior Men's Leadership Group:

Captain: Julian Turner
Vice Captains: Nathan Ligris and Max Ellis
Leadership Group: Ross Borland, Max Davie, Jack Atkinson, Jack Hart and Donovan Toohey

While we're not able to be on the field as a team yet, there is still plenty that our leadership groups are doing during this time, particularly ensuring our teams are connected, staying active, and assisting our coaches.

We are very appreciative of the extra work our leaders are putting in during such a tough time, they are showing the Fitzroy spirit in the best way for our teams and our community.

His great grandfather played in the 1913 Fitzroy Premiership side, his grandfather was an Australian middleweight boxing champion and thirds player known as the ‘pride of Fitzroy’, and he loves singing the club song as he runs out onto the ground. 

Donovan Toohey was born to play at Fitzroy.

At the end of the day, everyone just wants to come home

"Every week when Fitzroy plays the season proper – home and away, in the heat of battle or on the training track – a man mountain clad in club gear can be seen cheering them on. That man’s name is David Leydon and his family, like no other, represents the face of Fitzroy old and new. Some years ago, the Fitzroy Footy Club posted a story about David’s family and their abiding love for the Roys."
